From Maternity to Menopause: A Commitment to Whole-Person Care
Sidekick has already made strides in maternity care, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and alongside high-risk condition management. Our maternity program is designed to increase healthy, full-term pregnancies, reduce NICU admissions, and stabilize maternal blood sugar and blood pressure. But it’s just the beginning.
This month, on the tail of International Women’s Day and during Women’s History Month in the US, we’re expanding our commitment to women’s health with the launch of a clinical trial for our latest digital therapeutic: the MENO! App, designed to bridge yet another critical gap in care.
MENO! App: A New Digital Therapeutic for Menopause
Menopause affects every woman, yet treatment options remain limited, outdated, or inaccessible. One in four women experience severe menopause symptoms — hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and mood changes — that significantly impact their quality of life and ability to work1. While Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT) is the first-line treatment, it is not suitable for everyone due to medical contraindications or personal preference. For these women, alternative care options like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) are limited and difficult to access.
Sidekick Health developed MENO! App to provide science-backed, personalized support for women experiencing the range of frustrating menopausal symptoms. It’s one of the first CE-marked digital therapeutics for menopause to offer evidence-based CBT specifically designed to reduce symptom burden. The app takes a holistic approach, combining behavioral interventions with lifestyle support to improve overall well-being during the menopause transition.
Clinical Study: Advancing Evidence-Based Care
At Sidekick, we don’t just build digital health solutions — we prove they work. That’s why we’ve launched a 12-week decentralized randomized-controlled clinical study in Germany to evaluate MENO! App’s impact on symptom relief. Women aged 40-65 with significant menopausal symptoms will be enrolled and randomized to either use the MENO! App or receive standard care. After completing the study, the control group will also gain access to the app, ensuring all participants benefit.
With over 100,000 prescriptions issued and a network of 16,000 healthcare providers, Sidekick Health is a leading provider of prescription digital therapeutics (PDTs) in Germany. Expanding into menopause care is the next step in our mission to deliver evidence-based, scalable digital health solutions that address unmet medical needs — starting in Germany, and available to all of our global markets next.
